Return & Refund Policy

At Petit Niche, we take great care in preparing and presenting every order. Should you wish to return a product, please review our return and refund policy below.

1. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

Consumers who benefit from the statutory right of withdrawal may withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving their order, without providing a reason. Please also see section 3 regarding used or damaged decants.

In addition to applicable statutory rights, Petit Niche voluntarily offers a 30-day return period for eligible products, beginning on the day you receive your order.

To qualify for a return under our additional 30-day policy, products must be unused, undamaged and, where applicable, in their original packaging.

This additional return policy does not limit your statutory consumer rights.

2. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact us at info@petitniche.com, including your order number and the products you wish to return.

You may also use the withdrawal function on our website.

We will provide the appropriate return instructions.

You do not need our prior approval to exercise your statutory right of withdrawal. A clear statement sent within the applicable withdrawal period is sufficient.

3. Fragrance Products

Testing. During the withdrawal period you may only handle a decant to the extent necessary to establish its nature and characteristics, as you would be able to test a fragrance in a shop.

Used or damaged decants. If a decant has been used more than necessary to assess the fragrance (for example, used several times) or has been damaged, you are liable for the resulting diminished value under Article 6:230s(3) of the Dutch Civil Code. We will deduct this from your refund; depending on the extent of use or damage, this may amount to the full purchase price. Used or damaged decants are also excluded from our additional voluntary 30-day return period.

This does not affect your rights if a product is damaged, defective or incorrect upon delivery (see section 4).

4. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us at info@petitniche.com, preferably with your order number and photographs.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

Where a return is necessary because a product does not conform to the purchase agreement, Petit Niche will cover the necessary return costs.

5. Return Shipping

The direct costs of returning products under the statutory right of withdrawal or our additional 30-day return policy are borne by the customer.

Where a product is damaged, defective or incorrect, Petit Niche covers the return costs (see section 4).

As fragrances may be subject to transport restrictions, please contact us for suitable return shipping instructions. Do not send fragrances through a carrier or shipping service that prohibits them.

6. Refunds

Where you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, we will reimburse the payments required by applicable law, including standard outbound delivery costs where applicable.

Refunds will be issued without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notification.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned products or you have provided evidence of their return, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

For returns made exclusively under our additional voluntary 30-day policy, refunds will be processed following receipt and inspection of the returned products.

7. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product, please contact us.

Subject to product availability, we will explain the available options.

Your statutory rights regarding defective or non-conforming products remain unaffected.
