Return & Refund Policy

At Petit Niche, we take great care in preparing and presenting every order. Should you wish to return a product, please review our return and refund policy below.

1. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

Consumers who benefit from the statutory right of withdrawal may withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving their order, without providing a reason. Please note the exception for sealed products in section 3.

In addition to applicable statutory rights, Petit Niche voluntarily offers a 30-day return period for eligible products, beginning on the day you receive your order.

To qualify for a return under our additional 30-day policy, products must be unused, undamaged and, where applicable, in their original packaging.

This additional return policy does not limit your statutory consumer rights.

2. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact us at petitniche@outlook.com, including your order number and the products you wish to return.

You may also submit a return request through your customer account or use the withdrawal function available on our website.

We will provide the appropriate return instructions.

You do not need our prior approval to exercise your statutory right of withdrawal. A clear statement sent within the applicable withdrawal period is sufficient.

3. Fragrance Products

Sealed products. Every decant is delivered with a hygiene seal. Under Article 6:230p(f) of the Dutch Civil Code (implementing Article 16(e) of Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene once the seal has been broken after delivery. If you break the seal of a decant, you can therefore no longer withdraw from the purchase of that decant, and it is also excluded from our additional voluntary 30-day return period.

Decants with an intact, unbroken seal can be returned within the withdrawal period and our additional 30-day return period.

This exception does not affect your rights if a product is damaged, defective or incorrect (see section 4).

4. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us at petitniche@outlook.com, preferably with your order number and photographs.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

Where a return is necessary because a product does not conform to the purchase agreement, Petit Niche will cover the necessary return costs.

5. Return Shipping

The direct costs of returning products under the statutory right of withdrawal or our additional 30-day return policy are borne by the customer.

Where a product is damaged, defective or incorrect, Petit Niche covers the return costs (see section 4).

As fragrances may be subject to transport restrictions, please contact us for suitable return shipping instructions. Do not send fragrances through a carrier or shipping service that prohibits them.

6. Refunds

Where you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, we will reimburse the payments required by applicable law, including standard outbound delivery costs where applicable.

Refunds will be issued without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notification.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned products or you have provided evidence of their return, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

For returns made exclusively under our additional voluntary 30-day policy, refunds will be processed following receipt and inspection of the returned products.

7. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product, please contact us.

Subject to product availability, we will explain the available options.

Your statutory rights regarding defective or non-conforming products remain unaffected.
